Kids' Magazine Submission Guidelines
Thank you for your interest in writing for Cricket's family of award-winning children's magazines! We welcome submissions from writers of every level of experience. Unless otherwise noted, we consider all submissions for all our kids' magazines, so if you submitted a story or article for publication in SPIDER, we may deem it more suitable for
LADYBUG, CRICKET, or another of our publications.
We strongly suggest to all who submit that they read the most recent issues of our magazines to acquaint themselves with material the magazine has published. Sample issues are available for purchase online, by emailing customerservice@caruspub.com, or by calling 1-800-821-0115. You can also find our magazines at many local libraries.
We do not accept e-mailed submissions. Manuscripts must be typed and accompanied by a self-addressed stamped envelope (SASE) so that we may respond to your submission. Manuscripts without an accompanying SASE will not be considered. UNFORTUNATELY, WE ARE UNABLE TO RETURN MANUSCRIPTS. Please do not send us your only copy.
When submitting poetry, please send us no more than six poems at a time. Be sure to include phone and e-mail contact information.
Please allow us up to 8 months for careful consideration of your submission. No phone calls, please.

Our science and discovery magazines seek writers with subject expertise. Those interested in writing for these magazines should submit a resume and several writing samples.

Cobblestone Publishing magazines select articles by detailed query letter and DO accept email submissions. You may also submit illustration samples.
