Q: How can I tell when my magazine subscriptions will expire?
A: The expiration date of your magazine subscription appears on the mailing label of every issue you or your child receives. It is located directly above the name and address.

Prior to the expiration month of your magazine subscriptions, we will send you renewal notices to allow you plenty of time to respond without missing a single issue. The expiration date can be found on the renewal form either above your name and address, or, if you are a gift giver, within the box that identifies the person to whom you gave the gift.

If you would like additional help finding your expiration date information, please contact our customer service department or call us at 1-800-821-0115 from 9AM to 5PM, Eastern time.

Q: My subscriptions do not expire for several months. Why am I getting renewal notices so early?
A:

We don't want you or the young reader you love to miss a single issue of your subscription, so we begin sending renewal notices several months before your expiration date, giving you plenty of time to return the form and have your renewal processed.

Your expiration date is always indicated on your renewal form, either above your name and address, or, if you are a gift giver, within the box that identifies the person to whom you gave the gift.

Q: Why do I get so many renewal notices?
A:

We don't want you or the young reader you love to miss a single issue of your subscription, so we send renewal notices early and often, giving you plenty of opportunities to return the form and have your renewal processed.

Q: What is a code, and where do I find it?
A: A code is a short string of letters and numbers that identifies which renewal notice you are using to renew.  You will find it above your name on your renewal notice, preceeded by the word "Code."

Providing your code when placing your renewal helps in two ways:
  1. Your code identifies the price and subscription terms of your renewal.
  2. By tracking codes, we are able to optimize our renewal series and make sure that what we are sending out best matches your needs.
Thank you for entering your code!

Q: Why am I getting an invalid code message?
A: If you are receiving an invalid code message, please double-check to be sure:

  1. You entered the code correctly.  Renewal codes contain both letters and numbers.
  2. You included the period or "dot" and character following it.  Most, but not all, renewal notices look like this example: LY93SR.3.  For the code to be accepted, you need to enter the entire code, exactly as it appears on your renewal letter.
  3. Your code has not expired.  Codes will only be valid for approximately one year.
Thank you for entering your code!

Q: How can I renew my subscription but change the magazine?
A: Our Family Tree of magazines We have magazines for children of all ages (6 months teens) and interests. If the young reader you love is ready for another magazine, you can easily switch your subscription to another of our 14 award-winning magazines at no charge.

The back side of your renewal notice shows our "Family Tree" of magazines in an easy-to-read format. You can also browse through online samplers of our magazines to get a better idea of the reading level and content before making your choice.

Remember our CRICKET Guarantee: You can change your suscription to another of our award-winning magazines at any time, absolutely free.

Q: Who receives renewal notices?
A:

Renewal notices are sent to the person who purchased the subscription.  If you are a gift-giver living at a different address than the magazine recipient, you will receive renewal notices at your address.

If the original subscription order was placed through a third party instead of directly with us (for example, through Amazon.com), renewal notices will be sent to "The Family of" the subscription recipient.

If a subscription has not been renewed by the time the final issue mails, a "wrapper" will go on the issue identifying it as the last issue of the subscription.  (In some cases, a next-to-last wrapper will be included the month before.)

Q: Who can renew a subscription?
A: Anyone who is 18 years of age or older is welcome to renew a subscription.  You do not have to be the original purchaser in order to renew.
