Q: My child is interested in submitting stories, poems, and/or pictures to your magazines. How can she/he do that?
A:

We enjoy seeing pictures, stories, and poems by our young readers, but we don't publish unsolicited children's work in any of our magazines. Your child is welcome to send material to be posted on our site under "Your Turn." To protect your privacy, the web postings will show only child's first name, last initial, age, and state.

While we don't publish children's writing or art in the print version of LADYBUG®, we are happy to have children send entries to our monthly contests in SPIDER®, CRICKET®, ASK®, or MUSE® magazines. Each month has a specific theme and deadline, so be sure to look at the current issue of the magazine before sending an entry.  Please also refer to our Privacy Policy before submitting.

CICADA® magazine occasionally publishes writing or art from readers ages 14 and up. Submission guidelines are printed on the last page of each issue of CICADA.

When sending submissions to any magazine, always include a self-addressed, stamped envelope if you expect a reply.

There are some publications that do accept submissions from children. Please see our Submissions Guidelines for more information. Also, see our Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions pages for more information about submissions from children.
